The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Esther Walson-Jack, has disclosed that the office space occupied by the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) was officially allocated to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
Speaking on Monday before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating the PFIPC controversy and the N1.3 billion earmarked for the council in the 2026 Appropriation Act, Walson-Jack stated that the office is located within the Federal Secretariat in Abuja.
The disclosure comes amid an ongoing dispute involving President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Adeniyi Adeyemi, who presented himself as the Director-General of the PFIPC.
On June 11, 2026, Gbajabiamila denied any knowledge of Adeyemi or the existence of the PFIPC, revealing that he had petitioned security agencies in October 2025 after forged appointment letters surfaced. He said Adeyemi was subsequently charged before the Federal High Court with forgery, impersonation and obtaining by false pretence.
Adeyemi has denied all allegations, insisting he is prepared to clear his name in court and calling for an independent investigation.
In response to the controversy, President Bola Tinubu ordered a full investigation into the allegations. Adeyemi was later arrested, questioned by security operatives, and subsequently released as investigations continue.
