Former Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe is reportedly leading a takeover bid for English football club Bromley F.C..
According to The Sun, Anichebe is spearheading negotiations to acquire the newly promoted League One side from the club’s majority owner, Robin Stanton-Gleaves.
Bromley are preparing for their first-ever campaign in England’s third tier after securing two promotions in three seasons. The club is seeking significant financial investment to strengthen its squad and infrastructure ahead of the new season.
Anichebe, 38, enjoyed a successful career in English football spanning more than a decade. The former striker represented Everton F.C., West Bromwich Albion F.C., and Sunderland A.F.C. before retiring from professional football.
If the takeover is completed, Anichebe would become one of the few former Nigerian internationals to own an English professional football club, marking a significant step in his post-playing career. However, the deal remains under negotiation, and no official agreement has been announced.
